Why DTP?
Translators should not have to concern themselves with the layout of a document. Quality and economic efficiency would both suffer from such a procedure.
The complexity of modern DTP programs can only be mastered by those specifically trained for it. Our modern CAT programs protect the layout information of every document during the translation process. As a result, the formatting of the completed translation matches the basic structure of the original document.
A translation does, of course, change text and page breaks, the length of a text as well as the text flow in and around charts, scales and images. Our DTP team will re-adjust all that.
What happens with your documents after translation?
We correct layout irregularities that may have appeared during the translation process, edit charts and image captions, if necessary, and look over the correct syllabication and appearance of foreign character sets.
Furthermore, we insure that the table of contents, the index, the links and cross-references are working properly and are adjusted to the new language. We will even reconstruct your individual data structure 1:1, if necessary.
Additional proof-reading ensures the accuracy of numbers and all technical data. After the last corrections, the document is finished and ready-to-print.
The final product will not only contain all the layout attributes of your document but also perfectly reflect the individual appearance of the original.

Re-setting services
Many older documents only exist in printed or scanned form with non-editable text. We offer re-setting services for this data in the program and format of your choice and according to your personal specifications.
