How do we translate?
Our workplace is the computer. We exclusively use database-supported systems for our translations, known as CAT (Computer Aided Translation), among them TRADOS.
These systems are crucial when it comes to time-efficient and economic work and facilitate the observance of client specifications regarding terminology. We are also able to integrate existing databases (memories) for translations starting with your very first order.
Who translates?
The answer is simple: Native speakers. Only a native speaker fully understands the distinctiveness of a language. Because language is culture, language is way of life, and language is a mirror of national identity and customs.
4-Text requires all translators to have graduated from school in their native country, and to have a university degree or equivalent qualifications in a technical field. To become part of our team, translators have to pass a scientific exam and demonstrate their abilities in a complex translation test. Experienced senior translators familiarize the new employees with our workflow and provide thorough training in all aspects of technical translation.
What languages?
We offer translation services from English and German into all European languages and vice-versa. Furthermore, we translate into Chinese, Arabic, Hebrew, Japanese and many more. Whatever language you require, please do not hesitate to ask us.
Eastern Europe
We started refining our capabilities for this region years before Europe's political and economic expansion to the east. We can therefore provide you with the necessary expertise and the required capacities for translations into Eastern European languages. 4-Text has already set terminological standards for those languages in some fields, particularly regarding the technology of agricultural machines.
China
China is continuously increasing its importance in the world market. 4-Text has established a Chinese division to be prepared for specifically this development. Translation projects for numerous clients could already be realized.
